Dr. Ashley Baker is a psychologist and novelist whose work explores the quiet violence of memory, family, and survival. Her debut, The Furious Others, won multiple independent awards and was praised for subverting the serial-killer trope by honoring victims rather than glorifying killers. Her follow-up, The Ashes of Us, is a psychological thriller about vengeance, love, and the unsteady grace of forgiveness.

Her forthcoming novel, A Mind Half Lost, is a Southern, storm-soaked story of friendship and belief, threaded with the lyrical realism that has become her signature.

Ashley’s work has been featured on the Unreadable Podcast and at regional libraries and festivals, including the 20th Anniversary of the Decatur Book Festival and the Johns Creek Book Fair. She’s also given readings for local author series and independent bookstores throughout North Georgia. The Furious Others and the Ashes of Us were published by Genius Unbound, a small-press publisher devoted to psychological dark fiction.

When she’s not writing, Ashley practices as a clinical psychologist in Georgia, helping people untangle their own narratives; the ones that bruise and the ones that heal. She also enjoys playing games on her Nintendo Switch, reading more than a hundred books a year, and tending to her garden of zinnias and vegetables.
